Harlequin Children’s Centre, Witham
Harlequin Children's Centre, is one of four centres in the Witham Cluster. At Harlequin, we offer a range of services for
families with children aged 0-5 (and expectant parents).
Our groups for parents and children include Little Learners, Fit
and Fun, Peas in a Pod (twins and multiple birth group) and two baby
groups. Groups provide the opportunity for parents and children to socialise
with others and access peer and professional support. Each group includes age-appropriate
activities to challenge children to learn and develop new skills,
The centre is also used by our Health colleagues who run a range
of services from the centre; child health clinics, new parents groups,
breastfeeding support groups, midwifery clinics, antenatal drop-in sessions,
new born baby hearing screenings, speech and language support, and EWMHS
appointments for young people.
We run a range of courses, including those for women suffering
domestic abuse, parenting courses, first aid workshops and a range of family
learning sessions for parents to enjoy with their children.
Our friendly team is made up of centre based workers, who
predominantly support families in the centre or at groups in the community, and
outreach workers who support families in a more 1:1 way, either in the family
home or in the centre. If you feel you and your family may benefit from some
additional support, please call the centre using the details on the right hand
side of the page.
The centre is managed by Cluster Manager, Faye Savage, working
in partnership with Essex County Council, families and the wider community.
